MATERIALS AND OPERATION

MATERIALS: Frame and sash members shall be constructed of extruded 6063-T5 aluminum alloy, unless otherwise specified.

CONSTRUCTION: Frame members shall have a minimum depth of 3-3/16" and a wall thickness of 0.85 through the main members of the vertical frame jambs. THE SILL SHALL HAVE A MINIMUM WALL THICKNESS OF .093 THROUGH ITS MAIN SECTION. Horizontal sash members and meeting rail shall be tubular construction for maximum strength.

HARDWARE: Windows shall be provided with adjustable spiral sash balances. White Bronze latches shall be provided to secure the sash when in a closed position. Lower sash must also have an integrally extruded lift rail for manual opening and closing.

WEATHER-STRIPPING: The vertical portion of all sash members shall include wool pile weather-stripping on both the interior and exterior faces properly contacting the main frame. All joints between frame jambs and sill shall be sealed with an acrylic compound.

GLAZING: All sash members shall be glazed with specified glass and shall be back bedded with acrylic glazing compound. Glass shall be retained by extruded bead with gasket which must math the window finish.

SCREENS: Screens shall be fabricated from extruded aluminum with minimum wall thickness of .040. Screen frames shall be furnished to match window finish.

MISCELLANEOUS: Egress hardware is available to unlock window from sill when necessary --- Air infiltration is .09CFM/FT --- Water infiltration is 15.75PSF with no leakage.
