| GENERAL |
| Aluminum
Project-In windows of Series 200 or Project-Out
windows of Series 300 shall conform to the design
and construction of Series 200 and Series 300,
as manufactured by Superior Window Corporation.
Windows shall conform with all requirements of
AAMA P-HC-65 specifications. |
| |
| CONSTRUCTION |
| Frame
and ventilator members shall be of 6063-T5 aluminum
alloy. Frame members, muntins, glazing beads,
mullions and starter members shall be solid extruded
shapes. Ventilator and intermediate frame members
shall be tubular extruded shapes. |
| |
| ASSEMBLY |
| All
frame members shall have coped joints and shall
be fastened together with aluminum stainless steel
fasteners. All ventilators shall have mitered
joints, reinforced by a solid corner key and mechanically
crimped to prevent corner rotation. All joints
shall be weatherproofed with an acrylic seam sealer.

| WEATHERSTRIPPING |
| All
ventilators shall be provided with two (2) rows
of extruded leaf type weatherstripping, set into
integrally extruded grooves or ventilator members.
Weatherstripping shall provide continuous perimeter
contact to assure weather tightness. |

| GLAZING |
| Windows
shall be designed to receive from 3/16" to
1" insulated glass. Glazing leg rebates shall
not be less than .75 inches deep. Units shall
be glazed from the interior with an aluminum snap-in
bead. |

| OPERATING
HARDWARE |
| All
ventilators shall be provided with manufacturer's
standard cam locking hardware to properly open,
close and lock vent. Locking hardware shall be
White Bronze with a satin finish or high-pressure
die cast zinc alloy with finish to match windows.
Ventilators exceeding 48" in width shall
be provided with two (2) locks. Each vent shall
be mounted on 4-bar hinges and shall be balanced
when in an open position with sides properly adjusted.
The 4-bar hinges shall be mounted with concealed
fasteners to the structural webs of the frame
and vent. Roto operators are optional for outswing
ventilators requiring manual clerestory or electrical
remote operation. |

| SCREENS |
| Screens
shall be sliding wickets for cam lock operator.
Screens shall be extruded or roll formed box members
for roto operated and inswing ventilators. Screening
shall consist of 18 x 16 aluminum or fiberglass
mesh, removeable splines and all clips, catches,
and screws necessary to provide a complete installation.
